I am a portrait and figurative artist who celebrates the essence of being human with all its flaws, fears and insecurities.

I like to capture individuals in their off-guard moments and aim to suggest a mood or narrative from the subtleties of the angle of a head or a deadpan stare.

I studied Fine Art at Stourbridge College of Art from 1986-1989.

I work in oil paint alongside drawing and printmaking and am a member of the Studio Fridays art group.
Recent notable events include appearing on Sky Arts Portrait Artist of the Year 2022 and having a commissioned portrait included in a film ‘The Gallery’ in the same year.

In September 2023 I exhibited with the Women In Art Prize at the Roundhouse, Camden and was voted the People’s Choice Winner with my painting ‘Menopause -Anxiety’. This painting was then exhibited in the same year as part of the Women in Art Fair at the Mall Gallery.

I took part in a charity auction in 2023 with Art On a Postcard. In March 2024 I exhibited with the Society of Women Artists at the Mall Gallery and in May 2024 I presented my art work at a talk at Burgh House as part of their Art, Tea and Talks.

In 2024 I had two paintings included in the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition and made Time Out’s Top 10 in their review.

I will be exhibiting two paintings in June with the Society of Women artists.
